In June 2020 the construction works regarding the modernisation of the chlorine facility for RPWiK Brzesko were completed. The extent of the works involved i.a. design work – structural design and working design, construction of a modern maintenance-free installation for chlorine neutralisation based on dry technology, redevelopment of ventilation systems, electric installations, control and measurement instruments and automation systems, as well as construction works. The new neutralisation installation with 520 kg chlorine absorption capacity fully protects the facility and the environment from the aftermath of a potential failure. This is yet another i4tech project involving modernisation of a chlorine facility including i.a. the construction of new installations for chlorine neutralisation. The chlorine facility modernisation also included an upgrade of the ClO2 chlorine dioxide installation by installing a chlorine generation and dosage system with a generator producing ClO2 through the chlorine – sodium chlorite method
On 13-15 July we participated, along with other companies of Grupa Introl SA, in the 27th Spring Meeting of Heating Engineers which is one of the most important industry meetings. The scope of the activities of the group was presented during the presentation. During the symposium i4tech concentrated on the presentation of purifying flue gasses and air, and on water treatment solutions for the heating industry.
Early in the year a new investment was completed, which resulted in the construction of an installation for physical simulation of blast furnace gas purification, carried out by Stanisław Staszic Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy in Gliwice.
A key element of the laboratory installation is the cyclone and scrubber developed by us. The installation was created for simulations of physical blast furnace gas purification. Because of the requirements of the customer, the test installation had to be as compact as possible, therefore we had to use the “smallest possible” flue gas channel because each experiment was to last several days.
The installation was designed, produced, constructed and commissioned entirely by i4tech. This is an incredible success of our team which worked hard to complete the project.
In June 2019, we commissioned a carbon powder dosing installation at ZPW Maczki in Sosnowiec.
The task involved expansion of the existing high-rate filter building with an external room for activated carbon dosing. The technological solutions were established on the basis of pre-design examinations conducted at the facility. We installed a station for unloading carbon from bags and for preparing a carbon-water suspension in a special mixing tank. The carbon suspension is drawn from the mixing tank and pumped to dosing points. Depending on the actual water production output at the station, the carbon is dosed to channels in high-rate filters or to raw water pipes before the filters.
On 24-25 April 2019 the 26th Symposium Spring Meeting of Heating Engineers was held. The Spring Meeting of Heating Engineers is the largest heating industry conference in our country. Just like each year, it was attended by the key representatives of companies, institutions and scientific community. 740 participants attended the event.
i4tech took part in the 26th Symposium Spring Meeting of Heating Engineers, and focused on presenting the deNOx Emission Robot – an installation for denitrification of flue gasses through SNCR method for the reduction of NOx nitrogen oxides, as well as other technologies involving air quality preservation.
Completion of chemical dosing installation replacement at the Water Treatment Station at Dolna Odra Power Plant in Nowy Czarnów.
In December, i4tech Sp. z o.o. and the Board of Skierniewice Heating Plant Sp. z o.o. organised a presentation of the deNOx Emission Robot – an installation for denitrification of flue gasses through SNCR method for the reduction of NOx nitrogen oxides. The meeting was attended by representatives of the heating industry from several cities in Poland.
The completion of the 1st stage of modernising the water treatment technology at the Water Treatment Station in Powroźnik – modernisation of the coagulation node along with the powdered carbon node.
